OUR MISSION: To provide information, education, and support for people on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket who have Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia and the families and professionals who care for them. OUR HISTORY:
Alzheimer's Services of Cape Cod & the Islands, Inc. was formed in 1984 as an independent, community-based 501(c)(3) non-profit agency with the mission of supporting families and health care professionals caring for individuals with a dementia. While the population ASCCI serves has grown significantly over the years, we have responded with new programs and services. There is still no cure or medication to change the course Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. ASCCI remains committed to offering free support services and information, respite grants for family caregivers, and education and training. We are a 100% local organization and our services are sustained through local philanthropy, grants, sponsorships, and concerned citizens.
