Do I have to pay a registration fee?
No, the Miles of Memories Walk is a completely free event. However, we do encourage walkers to fundraise and there is no minimum as to how much you raise. Each individual who raises $50 will receive a Miles of Memories Walk t-shirt!

How do I form a team?
Teams can be formed from groups of co-workers, friends, families, or a combination of these. Your personal webpage makes it easy to recruit team members. Just log into your webpage and from the welcome page select the link under ‘Collect Donations!’ A link to your webpage will pop-up to easily email friends and family. Is there any special recognition for those with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia?
Yes, participants are encouraged to fill out an “I’m Walking in honor of ________” sticker.

Are there prizes?
No, the Walk does not have prizes so that more of your contributions go toward direct services. However, everyone that raises $50 will receive a Miles of Memories Walk t-shirt.

The t-shirts have been an ongoing tradition for the Miles of Memories Walk and continue to raise awareness all year-round as people wear them around the Cape and Islands. The t-shirts are printed right here on the Cape by Cape Cod Textiles in Sandwich and the cost is off-set by our walk sponsors. 

Are there any special benefits for top walkers?
Absolutely! Started in 2010, any individual who raises $250+ will be honored at the walk with a nifty 250 award. Additionally, each top walk team at all the walk locations is also recognized.

What if I can’t make it to the walk or do not wish to walk? Can I still participate?
If you can’t attend the event you can still participate as a virtual walker. Sign up online and you can fundraise right from your personal webpage. You can also fundraise on your own and turn-in the contributions. Many people are unable to do the walk, but attend with their family or friends and enjoy the many festivities of the day.
